I’m Mike Knipstein, an advice-only financial advisor dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate their journey to a secure financial situation. I specialize in developing comprehensive financial plans and providing tailored financial education. My approach centers on delivering comprehensive advice that empowers you to make informed, purposeful decisions.

As a registered investment adviser, I am bound by a fiduciary standard, which means I am legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest when offering personalized financial advice. To maintain transparency and avoid conflicts of interest, I do not receive compensation from the sale of investment or insurance products, nor do I manage client investments. With advice-only financial planning, my recommendations are designed to align with your goals and values.

Education

I graduated from Austin Community College and Western Governors University – Texas, holding degrees in Paramedic Technology, Nursing, and Business Management. I have over 30 years of experience in public safety. Additionally, I am also a Ramsey Financial Coach and a Registered Investment Advisor, having successfully passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam.

As a lifelong learner committed to continuous personal and professional growth.  I am currently pursuing further financial advising and planning education.

Experience

I bring over 30 years of experience leading teams and managing large organizational budgets. For the past decade, I’ve been counseling individuals on personal finances and teaching personal finance classes. Through these experiences, I’ve developed strong listening skills and the ability to create tailored financial plans that benefit you. After retiring from a 30-year career in government service, I wanted to give back by offering financial education and advice to those who need it most. If you're in your 20s to mid-40s and looking to build a solid financial foundation, or if you're an EMS provider, law enforcement officer, firefighter, 911 telecommunicator, minister, or teacher, I’m here to help you achieve your financial goals.
